Sustainability Field Partnership

QNB  represents new ideas and hope for the future in our world where culture and art, creativity and free expression are unrestricted. We have touched countless artists and artist candidates so far with our corporate social responsibility projects; We support a sustainable future and believe in the transformative power of art for the whole world and humanity.

With the 'Fun Experiments' project we partnered with Bahçeşehir Schools, we aimed to make children love science in a fun and educational way with real-life experiments that they can apply at home. Children between the ages of 8-13 can access this program, which started in 2022, on QBN Youtube channel.

QNB , which supports transformation and gender equality for equality in the finance sector and all other sectors, took its place in the 2023 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index.

In order to raise world-renowned musicians, we created the "ÇEV Sanat Young Talents" program in partnership with the Contemporary Education Foundation for gifted young musicians. In the project, which has been ongoing since 2017, 29 highly talented young people between the ages of 15-25 have performed their concerts with the participation of famous names.

Nature, which we care about as much as science and art, has definitely been our focal issue. We aimed at building awareness on climate change in children through “Climate Protectors are Growing” project. We put this project into practice with the Education Volunteers Foundation of Turkey in 2022 through which we contributed to the creativity of our children by employing a project-based learning technique.  We devised projects with 500 children between the ages of 8 to 14 about awareness on climate crisis in one year.

As QNB Turkey, we became a member of the Integrated Reporting Association in 2024, which carries out its activities to increase awareness of integrated reporting and thinking at the national level, to develop the capacity of institutions and to share good practices.

We published the QNB  Gender Equality Guide, prepared in collaboration with Kadir Has University, in the hope that it will inspire a more fair and equal future.

QNB Grup olarak “Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF)” imzacısı olduk.

It is a participatory non-governmental organization established by women physicians of our country in order to provide scholarships for the education of preschool, primary, high school and university students, to contribute to the cultural, scientific and social development of our country, to fulfill the principles and reforms of Atatürk, to provide efficient, productive, effective and high level education services.
As QNB, we have been providing scholarships to 45 students from KAHEV after the earthquake, consisting of 44 university students and one high school student.
 

Since 2008, we have been providing “Full Education Scholarships” to create equal opportunities in education. To date, we have provided this opportunity to 150 primary school students. In collaboration with the Turkish Education Association and the Ministry of National Education, we have connected more than 24,000 children with “Success Everywhere” scholarship opportunities.

We aim at supporting earthquake-impacted students through Tiny Hands Big Dreams Education Scholarship who live in tent cities or containers and went out of town in an effort to continue their education and in need of material and moral support.

In the scope of green transformation works, “TOBB Carbon Platform Project” was carried into effect in partnership with QNB, Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş., The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Captanomy.

At QNB, we place great importance on developing partnerships with national and international initiatives to carry our sustainability performance to higher levels. In this context, we became a member of BCSD Türkiye in 2022.
 

As QNB, we determine our strengths by evaluating the opinions and feedback we receive through open, honest and transparent communication with all our stakeholders.

The “Nature Pioneers Youth Program with WWF Turkey” we launched in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and WWF Turkey aims at raising awareness of all children and youth in Turkey to an equal level on climate, sustainability, and nature issues.

QNB, which holds women's employment and management in a very important position in the field of finance and has signed the 'Women's Empowerment Principles' (WEPs), will continue its pioneering work to bring women to higher-level positions in the field of finance.

We support the Women in Technology Association's (Wtech) "One Hundred Leading Women in Technology in the 100th Anniversary of the Republic" project by sponsoring 10 female students. Founded in 2019, the association aims to create diversity of qualified people in the fields of science and technology and to prevent women from losing motivation.  Under the project, 100 female and 25 male students studying in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields will be provided with technical and soft skill trainings by Wtech for 2.5 months, and sponsoring organizations will provide mentoring and employment support.

We consider gender equality as the fundamental basis of sustainable development and cooperate with national and international initiatives to strengthen women's presence in the economy. As QNB, with our 30% Club membership, we aim to improve gender equality at all levels, particularly by increasing women's participation in the Board of Directors. 

Founded in 2014 to generate “knowledge,” “communication,” and “action” in the field of sustainability, Ekologos is the publisher of ekoIQ, Turkey’s first publication focused on sustainable development
