QNB Clean Energy Index
QNB , as part of its commitment to combating climate change and promoting sustainability, introduced the QNB Clean Energy Index to its capital market instruments offering during a bell-ringing ceremony at Borsa Istanbul in January 2023.
The index is designed to measure the price and return performance of a portfolio composed of shares from companies listed on Borsa Istanbul. These companies derive the majority of their operating revenue from the production or distribution of energy from renewable sources, or from the production or sale of technologies or components used in this field. The shares included in the index are selected from companies listed in the Yıldız Market for the relevant index period.
Clean Energy Index Equity-Intensive Exchange Traded Fund
As part of its commitment to supporting renewable energy and sustainability, QNB Asset Management launched the "QNB Asset Management QNB Clean Energy Index Equity-Intensive Exchange Traded Fund" on April 19, 2024. The fund, traded on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker "QTEMZ," aims to invest in companies that generate revenue from renewable energy and sustainability-focused activities by tracking the QNB Clean Energy Index.
The QNB Asset Management QNB Clean Energy Index Equity-Intensive Exchange Traded Fund provides an opportunity to invest in ten companies operating in the renewable energy sector and listed on Borsa Istanbul through a single portfolio. This fund offers a significant opportunity for investors who prioritize renewable energy. Clean Energy and Water Fund of Funds
QNB Asset Management launched “Clean Energy and Water Fund of Funds” (OLD) on December 1, 2021, in concern with environmental sustainability. The fund basket is consisted of investment funds incorporating companies which operate as manufacturers, distributors or infrastructure providers and contribute to the sustainability process in the field of clean energy and water. The support for companies conducting works in clean water and energy fields within the sustainable development efforts around the world and finance solutions in the field is growing day by day.
QNB Asset Management has devised an alternative instrument by creating a basket portfolio to boost funding for companies operating in the clean energy and water- themed sectors, to participate in the earnings of mentioned corporates and for customers who desire to invest in these sectors. In the basket fund portfolio, companies operating in clean energy field, and branches of activities such as solar, wind, geothermal, wave, bioenergy; preservation and distribution of clean water resources, treatment, process, analysis, sanitation, and filtration of wastewater come to the forefront.
At least 80% of Clean Energy and Water Fund Basket Fund is constantly invested in the domestic and foreign investment funds devoted to clean energy and water themes and the exchange traded fund shares. Investment in minimum at a rate of 40% of total fund value is separately and continuously made for each of the clean energy and water themes. The benchmark components of the fund include the QNB Clean Energy Index.
