QNB Sustainability Governance
The Sustainability Committee was established to ensure adequate, effective, and strategic surveillance over the general sustainability actions of the Bank. The Sustainability Committee acts as the primary sustainability management and decision-maker. The Committee is responsible for the general surveillance of sustainability strategy and performance as well as informing and updating the Board of Directors and Corporate Governance Committee about the related issues. The CEO of Bank acts as the Sustainability Committee Chairman and Board Member. The General Directorate of Bank and the Sustainability Governance Manager carry out the presidency of Committee as co-chairs. Each member of Sustainability Committee assesses the climate and sustainability related issues. In the event of new progress in global or national issues concerning climate change, these issues are addressed at the Sustainability Committee. In case that any risk or opportunity is envisaged, actions are taken to eliminate these risks.
