The Climate Transition Bond was regarded as a pioneering financing model that sets a global example through its structure supporting the transition of carbon-intensive sectors to a low-carbon economy. Executed in line with ICMA standards and among the first transactions of its kind globally, it also represents an important benchmark for financial institutions as the first Climate Transition Bond issued by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
